About me
Litsa Mouka, MBACP (Accred)
Integrative Counsellor
My training is in integrative counselling, which comprises of the psychodynamic, person-centred and psychosynthesis orientations. My work is relational and follows the Clarkson 5-strand model (the working alliance, transference/countertransference, person-to-person, reparative and the transpersonal dimension).
Relational, I mean in the way that the work is done through the relationship.
Since we are social beings all our interactions are relational, and thus most of our difficulties arise through relationships. It makes sense, thus, to work relationally and use the therapeutic relationship as a tool in the therapy.
Each client is different and has different needs. With careful consideration,
I tailor my approach, to use whatever elements from each orientation I deem more appropriate to your needs, at the time. As your needs change, so does my approach. Above all, I offer a warm and non-judgemental attitude to build a trusting and nurturing therapeutic relationship.
I am a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the BACP.
